Has Israel Gone Off the Deep End?
As long as the US remains captured by Zionist interests, Israel will act with virtual impunity abroad
Since Hamas’ attacks on October 7, 2023, the state of Israel has used these attacks as a pretext conduct a vicious ethnic cleansing campaign on Gaza that has left close to 42,000 Palestinians dead and 1.9 million internally displaced. Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Gaza then provoked Lebanese militant group Hezbollah to launch a series of attacks against Northern Israel.
During these exchanges, Hezbollah launched 1,901 cross-border attacks against Israel, while Israel has launched 8,313 cross-border attacks against Lebanon. Hezbollah is an ally of the Islamic Republic of Iran and one of its most reliable proxies in the region. Israel has used the chaos in the aftermath of October 7 to stick it to Iran by carrying out assassination attacks against Iranian military leaders at the Iranian embassy in Syria on April 1, 2024.
Iran responded with a missile and drone attack on Israeli soil on April 13-14 — an unprecedented move that brought a whole new set of tensions to the Iranian-Israeli shadow war. Israel pushed the envelope even further after assassinating Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in the Iranian capital of Tehran on July 31. Haniyeh was generally perceived by other diplomats to be a moderate among Hamas’ ranks. With Haniyeh out of the picture, the likelihood of Israel and Hamas coming to a negotiated settlement over their conflict has dropped to virtually zero. Perhaps this was Israel's intention from the start.

Israel’s Push for a Regional War
Israel took further escalatory actions against Hezbollah by exploding the communications devices — walkie-talkies, pagers, etc. — of scores of Hezbollah operatives. Israel’s punitive actions against Lebanon culminated with the assassination of Hasan Nasrallah on September 27, 2024.
Even after the decapitation strike against Nasrallah, Israel has continued terrorizing Lebanon from the air, launching strikes against alleged Hezbollah targets. Since October 2023 Israeli forces have killed over 2,000 people in Lebanon while achieving no meaningful military objectives.
Israel announced the launch of a limited ground incursion into Lebanon on October 1, 2024, though reports revealed that the IDF have been conducting clandestine raids into Lebanon several months prior to the announced ground incursion. Hezbollah is no joke. While they're still adjusting to the effects of the assassination of their long-time leader and the humiliation they faced after the pager attacks, Hezbollah fighting forces remain fierce and are ready to fight to the death.
The Lebanese have demonstrated a valiant degree of resiliency in the face of Israeli military interventions — whether it was in the Israeli invasions of 1978, 1982, and 2006. In the present, Lebanon continues to give Israel fits as Hezbollah fighters have been reported to have inflicted significant casualties against the Israeli invaders.
Israel’s latest military campaign in Lebanon, has all the trappings of a military quagmire. It remains to be seen if Israel will rip the Band-Aid off and finally follow through with a full-blown invasion of Lebanon. On October 1, the Iranians launched missile attacks on Israeli military installations, adding further fuel to the fire.
The whole world is on the edge of its seat as it waits to see if Israel will retaliate with its own attacks on Iranian soil. To say that Israel is behaving in an erratic manner on the international stage would be an understatement.

Resistance to Israel’s Rampage Emerges
Sadly, there appears no one who’s willing to stop Israel’s rampage. Israel’s patron in the United States, who can be relied on to dole out military and economic aid in addition to diplomatic cover, has been thoroughly captured by Zionist interests. No matter which party is in charge in DC, the Israeli house always wins. According to Brown University’s Cost of War project, the Biden regime has spent $17.9 billion on military aid to Israel since October 7.
Though there was some hope with the emergence of certain progressive elements such as The Squad rising to challenge the Israeli First bipartisan consensus in the DC Swamp. Several members of The Squad such as Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) — who is of Palestinian extraction—, Ilhan Omar (D-MI), and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have manifested pro-Palestinian sentiments.
It appeared that a youth uprising against Israel was beginning to make waves in the first few months following the October 7 attacks. After images of Israel’s savagery in Gaza went on full display across social media, countless university students took to the campus green and streets to protest Israel’s actions, and most importantly, the US government’s relentless subsidization of Israel’s genocide.
The Zionist lobby was initially scared by the overwhelming opposition to Israel’s punitive expedition in Gaza. Through its outsized influence, the Israel First crowd got its way by getting authorities to arrest close to 3,000 pro-Palestinian protestors nationwide. On the university front, the Zionist network was able to impose its will at prominent institutions of higher learning. Thanks to Pro-Israeli donors who threatened to withhold financial contributions to Harvard University and a concentrated hit campaign against then-President Claudine Gay, she was forced to resign on January 2, 2024. Gay was accused of not taking the rise of antisemitism seriously on campuses, thereby spurring a Zionist elite backlash against her.
Columbia University had the fiercest protests that also drew national attention and prompted a coordinated campaign to purge leaders who were perceived to be insufficiently defending campuses against alleged acts of antisemitism. Zionist interest groups were able to claim a few scalps after Former Columbia College Vice Dean and Chief Administrative Officer Susan Chang-Kim, former Dean of Undergraduate Student Life Cristen Kromm, and former Associate Dean for Student and Family Support Matthew Patashnick were compelled to resign from their positions due to text messages they sent that allegedly downplayed rising antisemitism on campus.

Empire Judaica Strikes Back
On the political front, things were not much better. The Squad itself took some casualties after the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and its super PAC United Democracy Project (UDP) were able to unseat incumbent Reps. Jamaal Bowman (R-NY) and Cori Bush (R-MO) in their respective Democratic primary races this past summer.
To make matters worse, the Zionist pressure has already gotten Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez to bend the knee to the Democratic Party establishment as evidenced by her endorsement of Kamala Harris' presidential candidacy on July 21, 2024. AOC doubled down on her support for Harris' at the 2024 Democratic National Convention speech where she declared that the current vice president was “working tirelessly to secure a cease-fire in Gaza” despite all evidence pointing to a ceasefire not being on the cards whatsoever as the Biden regime continues sending Israel weapons without any meaningful pushback.
One small silver lining was that the Israel lobby was not able to unseat libertarian non-interventionist firebrand Thomas Massie during the 2024 primaries. Massie has been a vocal critic of the US’s generous delivery of military aid to countries such as Ukraine and Israel. The latter has brought him a large amount of negative attention and has put him in the crosshairs of the Israel lobby. Thanks to Massie’s strong grassroots support, he was able to trounce his opposition by picking up 75.9% of the vote.
That said, Massie remains on an island given the fact that he is the sole Republican voice that opposes the US’s intimate relationship with Israel. Israel can still sleep well at night knowing that both parties will fold to their demands, albeit with some meaningless grumbling here and there.
The rise of a multipolar world where China and Russia begin to exert more power in the Eurasian political space, with spoilers such as Iran and Turkey also having their say, could dent the Judeo-American Empire’s influence in West Asia. However, multipolarity is still a project in the making and has not morphed into a credible check against Judeo-American encroachments. The jury is still out on this new geopolitical development.
Truth be told, a de facto non-interventionist revolution is needed in the media and political spaces for any change in US foreign policy to take place. No easy task to say the least. It first starts with acknowledging the pernicious influence the Israel lobby has on American policy decision-making. Any political movement that’s not willing to confront this harsh reality of American politics will simply become the latest iteration of toothless opposition to the Zionist lobby.
