Know Thy Enemy, and Act Accordingly
Let’s get real.
Lots of folks on the Right are so outdated in their thinking and ineffective in their actions that they often could be reasonably mistaken for controlled opposition.
When I surf social media and take a peep at what political groups are talking about, I often feel like I’m stuck in a 20th century time warp.
In many ways, the Right resembles the Left with its obsessions of ghosts past. The Left sees Nazis everywhere, while the Right is fixated on threats of Communist bugaboos.
Actually, more often they’ll adopt the Left’s narrative of Nazis under the bed, but they’ll say the true Nazis are the Left themselves! Wow, so clever.
The Left, however, is clearly winning in the grand scheme of things. Propped up by Big Capital, it uses private institutions to shut down the Right across all spheres of society. This is not the same battle as 30, 10, or even five years ago.
We’re facing a different enemy who is employing different tactics. This requires a whole set of new tactics to confront them. If we don’t adapt we lose.
First, we need to learn about who and what the enemy actually is, what they’re doing.
There are numerous works on how the Left changed. One I recommend is Paul Gottfried’s The Strange Death of Marxism, which illustrates how leftist movements shifted their focus over time. They focus on race, sexual issues, and pragmatically use Big Biz to carry out their agenda.
Some groups on our side understand this better than others.
There is clearly a generational divide between Boomers who wish to relive Cold War scenes and the Millenials and Zoomers who see the truth: gigantic corporations openly aligned with the state.
Another divide is between America First populists and neo-liberal libertarians. The former see the threat Cultural Marxism poses against the family and traditional community. The latter see nothing but further advances in individual expression and diversity that they deny have any negative repercussions on social cohesion.
The common thread here is media intake. Too many on the Right lazily regurgitate what’s spoonfed to them from Fox News and the establishment Republican Party. The recent migration away from Fox to Newsmax, OAN, and other alternative TV sources is a positive step but only an incremental one.
Smaller media channels and blogs can be a problem too. QAnon, for instance, pacified an army of Trump supporters who otherwise were inclined to call out incompetence and bad advisors within the Trump administration. Instead, they sat back and trusted the plan.
Just as important as what we passively consume is how we act on that information. You can become the smartest guy in most any room, but if it only ever leads to social media debates over libertarian theory, the information probably isn’t as valuable as you first thought.
These changing times bring new challenges and require bold strategies based in reality. Leaving the plantation of Libertarianism-Conservatism-MAGAlite, Inc. is the first step towards real victory.
How to do that? Dump the bad habits of adopting the Left’s language and goals. Ending all racism, sexism, and homophobia is their utopian program, not ours. We have bigger fish to fry than hunting politically correct bogeymen.
We’re here to revive decentralization, private property, and the traditional norms that serve the American nation, its families and communities, so well.
Nullification, local activism, and cryptocurrency adoption are a few of the tactics that will be put to use going forward.
Don’t lose hope over how many people still don’t get it. They will. More are always tuning in to this way of thinking. This newsletter will show the way. Subscribe and share, because the journey ahead will be quite rewarding.
