NIÑO's CORNER: Hate Has No Home Here’: Let’s Ban the Anti-White Blood Libel of ‘Critical Race Theory’
No lie is more noxious to society than Critical Race Theory. But the challenge for the right isn’t to debunk CRT intellectually. So, what must be done to expunge this hateful ideology from private and public life?
First, conservatives must try to get away from relying on the term itself: Critical Race Theory. That’s pure academic marketing, just like the other propaganda pursuits under the CRT umbrella, such as Black Sexuality, Gender Studies, and Whiteness Studies.
These liberal arts programs used to be the butt of jokes, and they still should be to some extent. However, beware of those on the right who use humor to deflect from their own lack of conviction against these evils.
Instead of calling CRT what it actually is, anti-white and anti-American blood libel, they may just point out the hypocrisy of some CRT spokesperson on MSNBC. That’s not courageous, and it’s not something to settle for when going into battle against the Woke Left.
Unfortunately, even some of the right’s more tenacious fighters lack the vital skill of persuasion. When they speak of Critical Race Theory strictly under its own terms, they are affirming it as something intellectual. That turns regular people off. They assume it’s not affecting their daily lives or their children, that it’s all just philosophical masturbation.
Call it what it is. The blood libel against America, particularly white people who uphold or merely associate with Christianity and the natural family structure. Since before its founding, America was inherently racist and white supremacist. It’s an explicit rejection of American, Anglo-Saxon, and Western culture.
It’s a lie so vicious and pernicious that Kindergartners are being trained in it, to score their peers’ intrinsic values by their race, religion, and even, depraved as could be, their sexuality.
There is a reluctance on our side to label this fanatical theory anti-white. Sadly, it’s understandable considering the successful conditioning of white people to always fear even baseless accusations of racism. But that conditioning may be easy to overcome, at the same time CRT is defeated in the political arena.
Everyone on the right should be perfectly comfortable using the term “anti-white” in speaking to the masses. Instinctively, we know the left’s tactic of labeling people as racist no longer works. That’s why they moved on to xenophobe, nazi, and white supremacist. For whatever reason, the right tends to fall for these tricks more than the average person who passively votes Democrat.
While it’s true that the left is overwhelmingly radical today, there are still large swathes of black, Hispanic, and Asian communities that don’t align themselves with the demands of Black Lives Matter, Antifa, or even some of what Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez say.
Most people have never even heard of CRT, but they would reject the notion of it if it’s presented as the hateful ideology that it is.
Take for instance California, where the word stronghold is an understatement of the Democratic Party’s power. Routinely the populations that vote Dem reject their pet issues when they come up as ballot referendums. Affirmative action was rejected in 2020. The previous election saw rent control defeated, and further in the past gay marriage, marijuana legalization, and abolition of the death penalty have all been defeated.
At the local and state level, Republicans can win handily on issues like Critical Race Theory. Already Florida and Idaho are leading the way on banning CRT. The state senate in Texas just passed a similar bill.
Even blue states may be vulnerable on this issue, especially if redder communities get the ball rolling. Don’t forget about those single-issue losses for the left in California.
The key to success in this political arena will be first winning the cultural battle. Call out the anti-white bigotry from the political class and the academic and media elites. Don’t fall for the scaremongering of the left that saying “anti-white” is a “dog whistle” to the KKK.
If the right fights like it expects to win, then it will.
