You Don’t Have to Let a Mob Just Kill You
Washington Times columnist Tim Young traveled coast to coast in 2020 when all the “experts” were telling us to lock ourselves in our homes. The same experts telling us that COVID-19 would kill off most of the population were quiet when Antifa and BLM rioters were setting businesses on fire, destroying neighborhoods, maiming and killing innocent people, and occupying our cities at gunpoint.
“Mostly peaceful” was what CNN called the image of a group of thugs burning down a police station.
Radical progressives from the media to academia and even the halls of congress either cheered on or completely ignored these public acts of violence, including the murders.
The fact that Kyle Rittenhouse, the boy who defended himself as three criminals which included a sex offender and a pedophile rapist, attempted to murder him is still being called a “domestic terrorist” and a “white supremacist” shows that the Left-wing isn’t just doubling down, they are outright continuing to spout off with lies and make heroes of literal pedophiles because they didn’t get there way.
The evidence showed the truth despite the prosecution's intentional attempts to withhold it. The real witnesses and experts were allowed to say their testimonies while the corporate media continued to spew their lies without any repercussions. Despite the fact many feel we live in a lawless, degenerate society, Kyle was found not guilty on every single charge.
Kyle is free despite the lies, the slander, the hatred and all the attempts to destroy his life. Had Rittenhouse been found guilty by the jury of his peers, we could only imagine how badly American streets in Wisconsin and throughout the country would turn into on the eve of Thanksgiving.
This isn’t just a one-off case, something that we’ll forget and switch with the next controversy a year later. This case shows the true power and reason for the Second Amendment, a reminder of the highly embedded concept in the American consciousness across partisan, religious, cultural and economic backgrounds.
Simply put, if a mob of people attempting to harm you and actively pulling guns on you is burning down the city and chasing you, you don’t have to let them kill you. The fact that this is a part of the argument in our day and age may be baffling, but this reminder remains true nonetheless.
Aside from the deliberate tampering and suppression of information and public opinion on this case, which was heavily tampered by Big Tech and the media, what remains true is that the legal system prevailed and that the premise of “innocent until proven guilty” isn’t dead.
As for gun owners, we should still be cautious and slow to celebrate the numerous and frivolous lawsuits and Big Tech reprisals against the jurors. The battle may be won, but the war for justice isn’t over. The Left is already attempting to find ways to hijack the system so that no one like Kyle Rittenhouse can walk free again from their wraths.
Vigilance is the price of liberty. This Thanksgiving, give thanks that in the darkest of times, that truth and justice still ultimately reign supreme.
